      Sfortunato Luca Nardi che aveva ricevuto una wild card per il tabellone principale del torneo ATP 250 di Umago.Oggi il 18enne italiano, risultato positivo al coronavirus, ha dovuto rinunciare alla sua wild card ad Umago, e il suo invito per il tabellone principale è andato al 21enne Duje Ajduković di Spalato ( ATP – 252°), che aveva un invito per le qualificazioni. Quell’invito è andato poi a Bliješko.

      ATP 500 Amburgo: Prima qualificazione in un 500 per Luca Nardi

      Luca Nardi ha superato le qualificazioni nel torneo ATP 500 di Amburgo.Il 18enne pesarese, n.174 del ranking e settima testa di serie delle “quali”, ha sconfitto al turno decisivo per 7-5 6-2 il lituano Ricardas Berankis, n.109 ATP e seconda testa di serie dopo 1 ora e 22 minuti di gioco.Per Nardi sarà la terza partecipazione in un main draw di un torneo del circuito ATP. Dopo Anversa 2020 e il Masters 1000 di Roma 2022 dove è entrato in tabellone con una wild card.
      Da segnalare che Luca nel primo set sotto per 0 a 2 rimontava il break nel quarto gioco.Sul 6 a 5 poi Nardi toglieva ancora una volta il servizio al lettone conquistando la frazione per 7 a 5.Nel secondo set Luca si portava in un attimo sul 4 a 0, arrivava però un piccolo passaggio a vuoto dell’azzurro che cedeva due game consecutivi, ma dal 4 a2, 0-15 ed era al servizio, piazzava un micidiale parziale di 8 punti a 2 portando a casa set e match per 6 a 2.

      Lo spettacolo è iniziato. Sui campi in terra rossa del Tennis Club Perugia sono cominciati gli Internazionali di Tennis Città di Perugia | G.I.Ma. Tennis Cup, primo ATP Challenger 125 della storia dell’Umbria. Tanti gli azzurri presenti al torneo organizzato da MEF Tennis Events tra qualificazioni e tabellone principale.
      Nardi pronto a battagliare – Tra i più attesi Luca Nardi, che al primo turno del main draw se la vedrà con Gianluca Mager in un interessante derby tricolore. Nelle ultime settimane il diciottenne di Pesaro ha vissuto, Forlì a parte, una serie di emozionanti prime volte tra Internazionali BNL d’Italia al Foro Italico e Roland Garros: “Sono felice di essere di nuovo a Perugia due anni dopo la prima volta, quando nel torneo del circuito che organizzò MEF Tennis Events dopo il lockdown giocai due ottime partite. Non dimenticherò mai quella finita alle 2 di notte sul Centrale contro Pablo Andujar. Spero di far divertire anche quest’anno il pubblico. Come arrivo a questo appuntamento? Fisicamente mi sento bene, mi sono allenato intensamente negli ultimi giorni. Non voglio mettermi pressione ma sono fiducioso”. E di pressione il giovane talento marchigiano deve affrontarne tanta già da qualche stagione: “Io sono serenissimo, lascio parlare gli altri. Il mio compito è entrare in campo e dare ogni volta il massimo. Parigi? È stato bellissimo. L’anno scorso giocando il Roland Garros Junior ho pensato che mi sarebbe piaciuto tornare dopo dodici mesi per il torneo dei grandi: è stata una bella sensazione. Peccato perché avrei potuto superare le qualificazioni, ma sarà per la prossima volta”.
      Gli incroci del tabellone – Non un gran sorteggio per Marco Cecchinato, che debutterà contro il campione in carica, l’argentino Tomas Martin Etcheverry, mentre Giulio Zeppieri affronterà il colombiano Daniel Elahi Galan (semifinalista a Perugia nel 2019). Interessante la sfida tra Flavio Cobolli e il kazako Timofey Skatov, ex numero 1 del mondo under 18, così come quella tra Matteo Arnaldi e la seconda testa di serie del tabellone, lo spagnolo Jaume Munar. Alessandro Giannessi giocherà contro il bosniaco Nerman Fatic, Franco Agamenone contro lo spagnolo Roberto Carballes Baena e Luca Potenza contro lo svedese Elias Ymer. Gli altri azzurri, compreso l’idolo di casa Francesco Passaro, scopriranno il rispettivo avversario una volta terminate le qualificazioni. L’ex numero 12 ATP, il croato Borna Coric, esordirà contro il peruviano Juan Pablo Varillas.
      I primi incontri – Buona la prima in qualificazioni per Luciano Darderi, che in uno dei derby italiani del tabellone cadetto si è sbarazzato della wild card Massimo Giunta con lo score di 6-3 6-0: “Mi trovo a mio agio su questi campi, la palla viaggia, sono contento di come ho giocato contro un ragazzo che può crescere bene. È un periodo importante per me, sto lavorando per migliorare mentalmente e dal punto di vista atletico: voglio iniziare a giocare regolarmente gli Slam”. Avanti anche Giovanni Fonio, Raul Brancaccio e Filippo Baldi.

      Masters 1000 Roma: Luca Nardi alla prima esperienza in un Masters 1000 non sfigura contro Cameron Norrie

      Luca Nardi non sfigura nella sua prima partita in carriera in un torneo del circuito maggiore.L’azzurro è stato eliminato nel primo turno del torneo Masters 1000 di Roma dal britannico Cameron Norrie classe 1995 e n.11 del mondo con il risultato di 64 64 in 1 ora e 32 minuti di partita.
      Primo Set: Luca nel secondo gioco, dal 15-40, mancava l’appuntamento con due palle break con Norrie che metteva a segno sul primo break point un servizio al centro vincente e sulla seconda manovrava bene con il dritto, trovando poi il vincente lungolinea.Sul 2 pari era Nardi che concedeva palle break e alla terza possibilità Cameron piazzava il break con Nardi che mandava fuori un recupero di diritto.Sul 5 a 4 Norrie, dal 15-40, annullava due palle del controbreak (piazzando due servizi vincenti) e poi sul 40 pari Luca mandava in corridoio il tentativo di accelerazione di dritto e sulla palla set il britannico metteva a segno un nuovo servizio vincente conquistando in questo modo la frazione per 6 a 4.
      Secondo Set: Il primo game era fatale per l’azzurro che dopo aver commesso due doppi falli annullava una palla break con un ace ma al secondo tentativo Norrie piazzava il break trovando profondità in risposta chiudendo poi con un dritto pesante vincente.Cameron questa volta non concedeva più nulla alla battuta e sul 5 a 4 teneva a 15 il turno di servizio (con Luca che sulla palla match mandava lungo il rovescio, uscendo però di scena tra gli applausi del pubblico romano), con il britannico che vinceva la partita per 6 a 4.

      Ci pensa il giovane Luca Nardi a tenere in alto i colori italiani all’Open di Barletta-Trofeo La Pulita&Service. Il 18enne di Pesaro vola in semifinale dopo aver superato agevolmente il francese Geoffrey Blancaneaux. Primo set chiuso sul punteggio di 6/2 per l’Italiano e secondo parziale vinto per 6/4. Domani mattina (sabato 16 aprile), Nardi cercherà di conquistare l’accesso alla finalissima, sfidando l’altra rivelazione del torneo, Miljan Zekic, che dalle qualificazioni è arrivato fino alla fase finale del torneo internazionale. Il serbo, invece, ha superato nei quarti il russo Alexander Shevchenko con un doppio 6/4.
      Non ce l’ha fatta, invece, l’altro italiano impegnato oggi sulla terra rossa del circolo “Hugo Simmen” di Barletta. Luciano Darderi, infatti, si è arreso alla testa di serie numero due del seeding. Il portoghese Nuno Borges ha fatto valere la migliore classifica e soprattutto la grande esperienxza, vincendo in rimonta. Dopo aver perso il primo set per 1/6, il portoghese ha avuto la meglio ai vantaggi nel secondo parziale, per poi approfittare del crollo di Darderi nel terzo set, chiuso per 6/1. Borges, affronterà nella seminale di domani mattina il ceco Zdenek Kolar, vincitore di un altro match molto combattuto contro l’olandese Jelle Sels. Kolar è partito male perdendo 5/7 il primo, per poi rifarsi negli altri due per 7/5 e 6/1.
      Il programma di domani (sabato 16 aprile) prevede le due semifinali sul campo centrale a partire dalle ore 11. A seguire la finale di doppio: la coppia composta dal giapponese Mclachlan e il polacco Walkow, affronterà il tandem russo Karlovskiy-Tiurnev. Domenica 17 aprile, invece, la finale del singolare si giocherà alle ore 10.
