      Jannik Sinner : “Ho iniziato abbastanza bene, Ho giocato male il game sul 2-1 al servizio, poi lui ha iniziato a spostarmi di più. Allora ho cercato di giocare più profondo e di farlo muovere. Alla fine, ho sbagliato forse un game per set. Nel primo, quello sul 2-1, nel secondo sul 4-2 sul suo servizio”.Cerco sempre di migliorarmi, di imparare anche da partite come quella di oggi, anche se a volte è dura da accettare. Ho un buon team, ho accanto le persone giuste che sanno cosa fare. Spero di poter giocare ancora contro Novak”.“Quel che vedo è che difende in corsa meglio di me. Devo servire meglio. C’è tutto da imparare, soprattutto capire le varie situazioni in partita: non rischiare troppo, non tirare troppo piano. Quel che sto provando a fare è proprio comprendere i momenti.       Fabio Fognini : “Krajinovic è un giocatore con molto talento e gioca molto bene a tennis. Vale più della classifica che ha, infatti è stato tra i primi 30”. Sarà una battaglia molto dura, 50-50. L’importante è stare in campo come in questi due giorni, atteggiamento giusto, per il resto il risultato è una conseguenza.A volte sembra che abbia meno voglia, meno ‘cazzimma’ e può essere: ho 34 anni, una famiglia e due bimbi.       Nel primo set Fabio si portava in un attimo avanti per 4 a 0. Sul 5 a 2 però l’azzurro cedeva a 30 il turno di battuta ma arrivava l’immediata reazione di Fognini che toglieva a 30 la battuta a Thompson conquistando la frazione per 6 a 3.

      Niente da fare per Salvatore Caruso nel secondo turno del torneo di Monte Carlo.Il 28enne di Avola n.89 ATP, promosso dalle qualificazioni, è stato sconfitto per 63 62, in un’ora e otto minuti, dal russo Andrey Rublev, n.8 del ranking e 6 del seeding.
      Nel primo set Caruso sotto per 1 a 4, break del russo nel secondo gioco, annullava nel sesto game altre due palle per il doppio break ma non era mai pericolso in risposta con Rublev che chiudeva agevolmente il parziale per 6 a 3.
      Nel secondo set nel secondo game Caruso non è riuscito a sfruttare le prime due palle-break concesse nell’incontro da un russo piuttostoe nervoso.
